Greg Zanon News

Greg Zanon practiced fully, as did Mike Lundin. Zanon hopes to be ready by the weekend, but it may be difficult for him to get into the lineup immediately if the Wild keeps winning and the defensemen keep playing great. Plus, he's missed a month and coach Mike Yeo said he's a "ways away." I'll write more about Zanon in Thursday's paper. One of his groin muscles tore completely off the bone. He painted us a picture, but I'll spare you those details.

Zanon holds no fantasy hockey value but is an excellent stay-at-home defender. Expect their shots allowed to decrease once he gets back into the lineup.

Zanon, Stoner both not skating today. Stoner blocked shot with hand, Mike Yeo said last night #mnwild

The Wild play tomorrow with both players highly unlikely to suit up. Expect the team to re-call a defenseman since they currently only roster five healthy d-men.

Defenseman Greg Zanon (groin) and left winger Guillaume Latendresse (lower body) missed Friday's practice and are questionable for Saturday. Yeo indicated that if the injuries linger, the team may opt to hold them out and let them rest, with no game until Thursday at home against Anaheim.

Zanon plays some hard minutes as the stay-at-home answer to Marek Zidlicky. Should he not play today, look for Justin Falk to draw into the lineup.
