The Blackhawks have sent Gustav Forsling to Rockford (AHL).
Forsling has been a healthy scratch in three of the last four games and played just 10:17 TOI last night. His return to the AHL suggests that Brian Campbell will get back into the lineup on Friday. Forsling has one goal and three assists (four points) in 32 games with Chicago.
Forsling (upper-body) is expected to return to the Blackhawks’ lineup on Tuesday.
Forsling missed the last two games with an upper-body injury, but is expected to play Tuesday vs. the Flames. Forsling has picked up one assist and nine shots on goal while averaging 16:10 TOI in his first seven NHL games.
Forsling (lower-body) will not play on Friday.
Forsling suffered a lower-body injury in Monday’s game and will miss Friday’s game vs. the Devils. Forsling is reportedly doing better and remains day-to-day.

Forsling (lower-body) is questionable for Friday’s game.
Forsling was injured in Monday’s game vs. the Flames and is listed as day-to-day, but with the Blackhawks off until Friday, Forsling has a chance to be ready.
The Blackhawks acquired Gustav Forsling from the Canucks for Adam Clendening.
Forsling, 18, was the Canucks fifth round pick (126th overall) in 2014. The Blackhawks did not have room for Clendening, who deserved to be in the NHL, so they moved him for a younger prospect, who they will let develop for the next few years. Forsling has three goals and two assists in 35 games with Linkopings HC in Sweden.
