Henrik Sedin News

Sedin (ribs/finger) will not play in the final two games before the Olympic break.

Sedin returned to the Canucks lineup on Monday in Detroit after missing the previous six games. Sedin also played on Tuesday in Boston, both nights he played more than 20 minutes, but was held off of the scoresheet. "We are shutting Henrik down for next 2 games. He wants to play, but he's not as effective as we need him to be right now," said Canucks head coach John Tortorella.

Sedin (upper-body) is not at Canucks practice.

The Canucks are in action on Sunday and Sedin's absence at Saturday's practice does not bode well for his availability for Sunday's clash with Phoenix. Monitor his status during Sunday's morning skate.

Sedin (upper-body) remains day-to-day.

Sedin did not skate on Wednesday which puts his status for Thursday's contest in jeopardy. When his ironman streak was intact, he likely would have tried harder to be in the lineup, but now that that is over the Canucks will tread lightly with their star playmaker.

AV - Both H. Sedin & Weise will take warm-up, as will Duco.

Although we expect Sedin to play, he remains a game-time decision. The top line center has 11 goals and 57 points in 53 games. His absence would create a huge hole down the middle.
