Campbell will start Thursday in Dallas.

Campbell allowed two goals on 28 shots in the Kings 3-1 loss in San Jose on January 7th. Campbell has gone 0-2-0 despite stopping 72 of the 75 shots (.960 SV%) that he has faced since returning to the NHL on New Year’s Day. Tonight he take on the team that drafted him back in 2010--he comes in at 1-6-0 with a 2.34 GAA and .930 SV% on the road.

Campbell is expected to miss 4-to-6 weeks with a torn meniscus.

Campbell was filling in as the Kings’ No.1 netidner with Jonathan Quick out with a torn meniscus of his own. Campbell’s knee will also require surgery and is expected to be sidelined for at least on month. Cal Petersen, who was a fifth-round pick of the Sabres in 2013, has been recalled to take Campbell’s spot on the roster.

Campbell allowed one goal on 27 shots in the Kings win over the Blue Jackets on Saturday. In his last three starts, Campbell has gone 2-1-0 while allowing eight goals on 82 shots (.902 SV%). Tonight he faces a banged up Ducks team that has lost seven of their last eight while being outscored 256-to-16.

Campbell will start Thursday vs. the Flyers.

Campbell allowed three goals on 25 shots in the Kings 4-3 win over the Rangers on Sunday. With Jonathan Quick on LTIR, Campbell is expected to start the majority of the Kings games going forward. The 26-year-old has gone 3-4-0 with a 2.72 GAA and .912 SV% in seven starts and one relief appearance this season.

While Quick was out, Campbell went 2-3-0 with a 2.69 GAA, .922 SV% and one shutout. The Wild come into Thursday averaging just 2.75 goals for per game (t-22nd in the NHL).
