Markstrom underwent a minor lower-body procedure on Wednesday and will be re-evaluated in two weeks.
Markstrom's original timetable was 3-to-4 weeks and that could still be the case. Vancouver will likely release another update after he is re-evaluated in two weeks. Thatcher Demko will be the Canucks' starter until further notice, suggesting he could start the next eight-to-nine games in a row (with two back-to-backs).

Markstrom will return to Vancouver to be evaluated; expected to miss 3-to-4 weeks with a lower-body injury.
Markstrom was hurt in the Boston game on Saturday and underwent an MRI on Monday morning. He'll return to Vancouver to be re-evaluated and the Canucks will likely return a more detailed timetable after that. With Markstrom out, Thatcher Demko will serve as the Canucks' No.1 netminder and they made a trade for Louis Domingue today to give them a No.2 netminder.

Markstrom allowed five goals on 31 shots in the Canucks loss to the Flames on Saturday. Markstrom has been excellent through most of the season but has struggled recently. He is on a three-game losing streak while allowing a combined 13 goals on 110 shots (.882 SV%). Tonight he'll try to get back on track vs. the Predators--he stopped 45 of 48 shots in a 6-3 win in his first start vs. Nashville (Nov.21).

The loss snapped a three-game losing streak for Markstrom, who is now 10-9-1 with a 2.98 GAA and .909 SV% on the road this season. Tonight he faces a Wild team that is 4-2-0 while scoring 3.67 goals per game in the first six games of their home stand.

Markstrom continues to play terrific hockey, winning five of his last six starts (5-1-0) while posting a 2.18 GAA and .931 SV%. Tonight he'll see a Bruins team that is 7-2-1 while averaging 3.70 goals per game in their last 10.

Markstrom allowed two goals on 40 shots in the Canucks win in San Jose on Wednesday. Markstrom has been terrific since the middle of December, going 10-2-0 with a 2.67 GAA and .921 SV% in his last 12 outings. He'll look to stay hot against an Islanders team that has lost five of their last seven (2-3-2) while scoring 3.29 goals per game.

Markstrom stopped 34 of the 35 shots in the Canucks win over the Coyotes on January 16th. Markstrom has won three of his last four starts while stopping 103 of the 111 shots (.928 SV%) that he's faced. In his first start against the Sharks, Markstrom stopped 23 of 25 shots in what turned out to be a 4-2 loss.

Markstrom continues his red-hot stretch of play, winning six straight starts while posting a 2.49 GAA and .932 SV%. As good as he has been, that run may come to an end in Tampa Bay. The Lightning are cooking right now, having won seven in a row while averaging 4.14 goals per game.

He has gone 7-5-2 with a 2.48 GAA, .924 SV% and one shutout on home-ice this year but will face a Chicago team that is heating up, winning five of their last six with 3.83 goals per game.
