Despite a rough loss, he remains a strong option tonight in Edmonton—the Oilers have lost four of their last six games.

It wasn’t immediately clear how serious Allen’s injury was, but the Blues announced that he week-to-week, which means he will miss at least a few weeks. With Allen out, the Blues turn to Brian Elliott as their starter and Jordan Binnington as the backup. Elliott is 6-4-4 with a 2.33 GAA and .919 SV% this season.


Allen left after Corey Perry collided with him. Allen left early in the second period, turning things over to Brain Elliott. There was no update on Allen’s status after the game, but expect Elliott to start on Saturday and there should be an update on Allen in the next few days.
