The Flames do not play again until after the All-Star break, so they sent a trio of young players, including Pelletier, back to the AHL.

The Flames have recalled Jakob Pelletier from Calgary (AHL).
Pelletier has had an excellent AHL season to date, scoring 15 goals with 19 assists (34 points) in 31 games. The 2019 No.26 overall pick has been terrific as a 21-year-old, second-year pro and could make his NHL debut on Sunday.
The Flames have signed Jakob Pelletier to a three-year, entry-level contract.
Pelletier was picked with the No.26 overall pick in this summer’s NHL Entry Draft after scoring 39 goals with 50 assists (89 points) with the Moncton Wildcats (QMJHL). He was assigned to Moncton earlier today.
With the No.26 Pick in the 2019 NHL Draft the Calgary Flames select Jakob Pelletier.
