Voracek (lower-body) will not play on Saturday.

Voracek suffered a lower-body injury and will sit on Saturday, but the severity of the injury is unknown at this point. There are reports that Voracek was seen wearing a boot, which isn’t great news, but the Flyers are expected to provide a full update on Monday.

Voracek will move back to the Flyers top line.

Voracek has been skating on the Flyers’ third line for the last seven games but he registered six assists (all on the power-play) over that span. On Monday it was announced that Voracek will take his spot with Claude Giroux and Michael Raffl back from Brayden Schenn. After scoring 22, 23 and 22 goals in the last three seasons, Voracek has just one goal in 27 games this season.

Voracek (hand) will play tonight vs. Carolina.

There were some questions whether or not Voracek would be available for Tuesday's game, but the game getting postponed allowed him an extra day to heal his ailing hand. Voracek has been on a tear recently, he has recorded five goals and three assists in his last nine games. He has a total of 35 points (14G / 21A) in 50 games this season.

Voracek left Monday's contest with a hand injury and did not play the the final 5:57.

Voracek will be re-evaluated when the team returned to Philadelphia. The Flyers host Carolina on Tuesday. Voracek’s loss would be huge. He has nine goals and 12 assists for 21 points in his last 19 games. “We’re not sure yet,” coach Craig Berube said. “It’s a loss for sure. He’s a good player and one of our better players. So it’s going to be a loss if he’s out. That happens. People have to step up and play.”

Voracek who injured his back last Tuesday, will play in Wednesday's opener against the visiting Toronto Maple Leafs, general manager Paul Holmgren said.

In last night's preseason game vs. New Jersey, Voracek was taken down on a breakaway and slid awkwardly into the left post, appearing to injure the left side of his back. The Flyers 2013 leading goal scorer left the game and did not return.

“It’s not serious,” general manager Paul Holmgren said. “I don’t think he was going to play on Thursday anyway.” It sounds like Voracek is going to be fine for the Flyers season opener on October 2nd.
