With Alex Stalock struggling as Martin Jones’ backup, the Sharks were in search of goaltending help, so they acquired pending free agent Reimer. The 27-year-old has posted an 11-12-3 record with a 2.49 GAA and .918 SV% with Toronto this season, which is incredibly impressive when you consider the quality of team he played behind. He will undoubtably push Jones for more starts than Stalock did and becomes a stronger option now that he’s out of Toronto.

Reimer gave up two goals on 15 shots after he replaced Jonathan Bernier in Saturday’s loss to Philadelphia. Reimer is 3-3-1 with a 3.92 GAA and .866 SV% this month and tonight he faces a Predators team that has gone 4-3-3 in their last 10 games. The Maple Leafs continue to tear their team down, making Reimer nearly impossible to trust.

Reimer allowed two goals on 19 shots in the Maple Leafs win in Vancouver on Saturday. Reimer has gone 3-2-0 with a 3.33 GAA and .888 SV% since the All-Star break. Reimer has played well despite having an ugly roster in front of him. He is a risky start against a Blackhawks team that won 4-1 in their first meeting.

Reimer was not given a chance by his teammates and it was a mercy pull by Mike Babcock. Reimer allowed three goals on 42 shots in the Maple Leafs OT win over the Bruins on Tuesday. Reimer got February off to a nice start, recording his ninth win of the season. Tonight, Reimer will take on a Devils team that has won five of their last six games while averaging 3.00 goals per game. Reimer has gone 3-4-5 with a 2.24 GAA and .929 SV% on home ice this season.

Reimer allowed five goals on 27 shots in the Maple Leafs loss in Florida last Tuesday. Reimer went 1-4-2 with a 2.42 GAA and .923 SV% in seven starts in January and will have a tough time finding the win column in Boston on Tuesday—the Bruins come in having won five of their last seven.

Reimer, who is 3-4-3 on home ice, will make his second start vs. the Hurricanes. In the first meeting he turned aside 33 of 34 shots in a shootout win.

Since returning to the Maple Leafs crease, he has gone 0-3-0 with a 2.42 GAA and .922 SV%. He’ll face a Flyers team that has won five of their last six games.

Reimer allowed two goals on 21 shots in the Maple Leafs loss to the Blue Jackets on Wednesday. Reimer is still searching for his first win since November 20th—since then he has gone 0-4-1 despite posting a 1.71 GAA and .944 SV%. Overall, it has been a good year for Reimer but things will not be easy tonight with the Blackhawks in town—Chicago has won nine in a row.

Reimer returned to the crease on Thursday, but is back out with a few “bumps and bruises. With Reimer back out, Garret Sparks will start on Saturday and Antoine Bibeau has been recalled from Toronto (AHL) to serve as his backup.
