The Pittsburgh Penguins acquired Schenn in a trade from the Nashville Predators earlier this week and have immediately flipped him to the Winnipeg Jets. The Predators signed Schenn to a three-year contract with an AAV of $2.75-million ahead of the 2023-24 season. The 35-year-old defenseman registered five points (1G / 4A), 76 blocks, and 228 hits in 61 games this season.

The Penguins have acquired Luke Schenn and Tommy Novak from the Predators for Michael Bunting and a 2026 4th Round Pick.

Assuming he isn't flipped elsewhere ahead of Friday's Trade Deadline, the Penguins will become the ninth team Schenn has suited up for across his remarkable 17-year-career. The Predators signed Schenn to a three-year contract with an AAV of $2.75-million ahead of the 2023-24 season. The 35-year-old defenceman leaves Nashville after registering two goals, ten assists, 152 blocked shots and 430 hits across 124 games.

Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen is battling a minor injury so the Sabres will turn to Reimer between the pipes on Tuesday against the Columbus Blue Jackets. The 36-year-old Reimer last played on January 25th, saving 31 of 34 shots (.912 SV%) in a 3-2 loss to the Edmonton Oilers. He has a 3.06 GAA and .894 SV% in 10 appearances this season (1-6-1). The Sabres enter Tuesday's contest as -181 home favorites against a Blue Jackets team without Zach Werenski (lower body) and Kirill Marchenko (jaw).

Reimer was signed by the Anaheim Ducks in the offseason and played two games with them (0-2-0), recording a 4.50 GAA and .864 SV%. The veteran Reimer provides some goaltending depth for a Sabres club that is temporarily without starting goalie Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen (undisclosed).

Reimer was claimed off waivers from Buffalo a week ago and will make his Ducks' debut on Sunday in Vegas. The 36-year-old is entering his 15th NHL season with his sixth different team. He had an 11-8-2 record with a .904 SV% and a 3.11 GAA in 25 games played in Detroit last season. He heads to Vegas to take on the undefeated Golden Knights (2-0-0), whose offence is hot, having scored 12 goals in their first six periods of hockey.
