van Riemsdyk (lower-body) will be a game-time decision on Thursday.

van Riemsdyk fell awkwardly during Monday’s win over the Kings, missed Wednesday’s practice, but was on the ice for the morning skate and is officially listed as a game-time decision for tonight’s meeting with Carolina. van Riemsdyk will be replaced by Josh Leivo if he is unable to play.

van Riemsdyk (lower-body) missed Wednesday’s practice but should be able to play on Thursday.

It looks like van Riemsdyk avoided serious injury when he went down awkwardly on Monday, but was able to finish the game. He is likely a bit sore, which is why he didn’t practice today, but head coach Mike Babcock said that JVR should play tomorrow vs. Carolina.

van Riemsdyk (foot) has suffered a setback and is likely done for the season.

van Riemsdyk was expected to miss 6-8 weeks and today would mark exactly six weeks, but his foot has not healed like the Maple Leafs expected, so he will be shut down for the rest of the season. With the Maple Leafs tearing the team apart and with nothing to play for, there’s no point in risking JVR getting hurt even more.

van Riemsdyk will miss 6-8 weeks with a non-displaced fracture in his left foot.

van Riemsdyk suffered the injury in Saturday’s blowout loss in San Jose. JVR leads the Maple Leafs in points with 29 (14G / 15A), but they’ll be without him for at least the next six weeks. Six weeks would have him returning in time for their game on February 23rd vs. Nashville—which means he’ll miss the next 17 games.

van Riemsdyk is on the ice for the Maple Leafs' gameday skate after leaving Tuesday's game.

van Riemsdyk was run over by teammate Dion Phaneuf in Tuesday's loss to the Sharks. He left briefly but did return, so there is no surprise that he is on the ice this afternoon and is expected to play tonight vs. L.A. Despite the blowout loss to the Sharks, JVR still picked up an assist and now has 54 points (26G/28A) in 65 games.

van Riemsdyk (undisclosed) did not skate again today, but has been cleared to play Thursday.

Leafs head coach Randy Carlyle said that he expects van Riemsdyk to play on Thursday after being cleared medically on Wednesday. JVR has not skated with the Leafs since returning from the Olympics. In Sochi the line of JVR-Pavelski-Kessel was the USA's most dangerous in the preliminary round, the Leafs hope that JVR and Kessel will be able to bring that back with them as they get back underway tomorrow. van Riemsdyk has 24 goals and 23 assits (47 points) in 38 games this season.

James van Riemsdyk has been moved to centre.

With the injuries to key centres Dave Bollland and Tyler Bozak the Maple Leafs have shifted van Riemsdyk from the left-wing to the first line centre between Phil Kessel and Joffrey Lupul. He has shown great chemistry with Kessel posting six goals and seven assists in 13 games. van Riemsdyk has never played centre in the NHL and only played it sparingly at the University of New Hampshire.
