Wisniewski (upper-body) is expected to be activated from IR and in the lineup on Saturday.
Wisniewski missed the last six games with an upper-body injury he suffered against the Wild on December 6. Wisniewski is one of the Blue Jackets top-scorers with two goals and 16 assists in 28 games. Saturday will be a good day for Columbus who will also get forward Marian Gaborik back from a knee injury.

Wisniewski will miss his fifth consecutive game despite taking part in the morning skate. He is expected to play sometime this week, so monitor his status on Thursday when the Blue Jackets are in Philadelphia.

Wisniewski has missed the last four games but could return tonight against the Jets. He has been great to-date recording two goals and 18 points, which is third on the team in scoring. Expect David Savard to come out of the lineup if Wiz can go.

James Wisniewski having tests today for undisclosed upper-body injury.
Wisniewski suffered the injury in last night's tilt with the Wild. Wiz had a strong game, he played 18:37 and was a plus-3 with one shot. He has two goals and 16 assists in 28 games, but could be in danger of missing time. The Blue Jackets are off until Monday, so expect an update on his status later today or Sunday.
Wisniewski (illness) is doubtful tonight.
Wisniewski will be a game-time decision but it sounds like he will not play and Tim Erixon will enter the lineup. Wiz has been strong for the Jackets this season, posting two goals and 16 points which has him tied for sixth amongst NHL defenseman through 22 games.
Blue Jackets coach Todd Richards said D James Wisniewski was ill this morning. He will be a gametime decision.
If Wisniewski can't go, Nikita Nikitin will enter the lineup.

Wisniewski had nine assists in 15 games before getting hurt. He will paired with Fedor Tyutin. He could be worth a pick-up if he can play the way he did at the start of the season.
Richards said #CBJ D James Wisniewski is close, and "may be ready to go tomorrow." Said he skated today & they'll decide at game time.
Wisniewski hasn't played since mid-February with a broken right foot. He had three goals and six assists in 15 games prior to getting inured. This would be a good addition to a Columbus team who has played very well in March.

All that was said about how long Wisniewski will be out was "long-term". This is another tough break for the Blue Jackets who continue to lose key players to injury. He joins Dubinsky, Anisimov and Jack Johnson on the IR. Wisniewski's fantasy season is likely over.

Blue Jackets defenseman James Wisniewski practiced with the team without limitations today and will return to the lineup against Phoenix on Tuesday after missing seven games because of a head injury.
