Jannik Hansen News

Hansen (undisclosed) did not play on Monday.

Hansen had been confirmed in the lineup by head coach Willie Desjardins, but he ended up being held out of the lineup vs.the Canucks. It was probably for the better, as the Canucks clearly did not need him as they easily disposed of Arizona. Consider Hansen day-to-day.

Hansen is fine after being taken to hospital after collapsing on the bench on Saturday night.

There is no word on what caused Hansen to collapse, but the Canucks go all good news regarding Hansen’s condition at the hospital. “Everything checked out,” head coach Willie Desjardins said post-game, so this is obviously great news for the Canuck forward. Expect him to be held out of Monday’s game vs. Arizona.

Hansen (arm) could return on Sunday.

Hansen is eligible to play tomorrow and skated on a line with Ryan Kesler and Chris Higgins this afternoon. Hansen has missed the last 10 games after injuring his arm on October 22. He recovered quicker than expected and the Canucks are finally getting healthy. They look like a much more dangerous team than they did a week ago with Hansen and David Booth back.

Anyone that plays with the Sedin's is a threat to put up points. Burrows is expected to play on their line but if Hansen sticks with them on the PP, that certainly gives his fantasy value a slight boost.

Hansen moves up to a scoring line. Through his first three games, the Herlev, Denmark native posted one assist with a minus-2 rating while playing a defensive role with Manny Malhotra. This could be a boost in his fantasy hockey value.
