Megna took four minor penalties in the Penguins win over the Flames last night. Taking four penalties when you’re on a recall is not a great way to stick with the big-club, so he will be replaced by Bryan Rust tonight vs. the Blue Jackets.

With Patric Hornqvist not on the ice this morning after suffering an injury last night, Megna filled his spot on the Penguins top line with Sidney Crosby and Nick Spaling. Pittsburgh is without Crosby's two usual linemates in Chris Kunitz and now Hornqvist so they will need someone to step up and fill those shoes. For now it looks like it will be Megna, who now has some sneaky value in one-day leagues.

Megna played 36 games with the Penguins last season, tallying five goals and four assists. He will replace Zach Sill on the Penguins fourth line vs. the Bruins.

Megna has appeared in six games with the Penguins this season, recording two goals and one assist. With Beau Bennett out for two months and Matt D'Agostini on waivers, Megna could be up to stay for a long period of time.

Megna played in six NHL games with Pittsburgh, notching two goals and three points. He scored his first NHL goal against Justin Peters and the Carolina Hurricanes on October 28. He returns to the AHL where he has three goals and five points in six games.

Megna will be looking to make his NHL debut tomorrow night against the New York Islanders. The second-year pro was off to a great start with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, three goals and two assists in six games.
