The Islanders have signed Jean-Gabriel Pageau to a six-year contract extension worth $30.0 million ($5.0M AAV).
The Islanders have acquired J.G. Pageau from the Senators for a 2020 first-round pick, a 2020 second-round pick and a conditional 2022 third-round pick.
The 2020 first-round pick is top-three protected, and the 2022 third-rounder is conditional on the Islanders winning the Stanley Cup this season. Pageau is in the midst of a career year, scoring 24 goals and adding 16 assists in 60 games this season. The 27-year-old is set to become an unrestricted free-agent on July 1.
Pageau (neck) is expected to play on Monday.
Pageau missed the last two games before the All-Star break with a sore neck but head coach D.J. Smith expects him to play Monday vs. the Devils. Pageau has cooled off recently, scoring just one goal with one assist in his last seven games.

Pageau, 22, scored 10 goals and nine assists (19 points) in 50 games in his second NHL season. During his time in Binghamton (AHL), he had 21 points (11G / 10A) in 27 games.
