Bratt showed no signs of an ailment in the playoffs, playing all five games in New Jersey's round one loss to the Carolina Hurricanes, but underwent shoulder surgery. He is expected to be back for the beginning of training camp. The 26-year-old Bratt had an excellent season, scoring a career-high 88 points (21G / 67A) in 81 games. He has become a picture of consistency for the Devils, scoring 317 points (106G / 211A) in 321 games over the previous four seasons.

Entering their final game of the regular season, the Devils will rest several key players, including Bratt, in preparation of their first-round playoff series against the Carolina Hurricanes. The 26-year-old Bratt ends the 2024-25 campaign with a career-high 88 points (21G / 67A) in 81 games.

Anaheim added to San Diego's goaltending depth on Thursday after they signed Oscar Dansk to a one-year, two-way contract. The 30-year-old netminder had spent the last two seasons with the Calgary Wranglers (AHL) and posted an 11-12-3 record with a .322 GAA and .897 SV% in 27 games played in 2023-24.

Bratt was a pending RFA but signed an eight-year deal that will keep him in New Jersey through the 2031 season. Bratt has posted back-to-back 73-point seasons, but 2023 was the first time he eclipsed the 30-goal mark (32). Over those two seasons, Bratt is tied for 44th in the NHL in points (146) and 49th in goals (58).

Dansk was 8-6-2 with a 2.75 GAA and .905 SV% with the Calgary Wranglers (AHL) and has signed a one-year, two-way contract extension ($775,000/$275,000) through the 2023-24 season. The 29-year-old has played in six career NHL games, picking up a 4-1-0 record after being Columbus' second round pick (31st overall) in 2012.

Bratt has missed the last two games with an upper-body injury but is expected to play Thursday in Pittsburgh. Bratt will return to the Devils' top-6 and will skate with Nico Hischier and Pavel Zacha. Prior to getting hurt, Bratt had six goals and 13 assists (19 points) in his last 16 games.

Bratt suffered an upper-body injury in St. Louis and will likely miss Sunday's game vs. the Penguins. Luckily for the Devils, Jack Hughes has cleared COVID-19 protocol and is expected to be available.

Bratt has missed the last four games with an undisclosed issue but will play Thursday in Pittsburgh. Bratt has played well in the last month and a half, posting 19 points (4G / 15A) in his last 22 games.
