Joey Daccord is expected to start Friday vs. Philadelphia.

Chris Driedger was terrific in a 2-1 victory over the Calgary Flames in his first action since Philipp Grubauer went down with an injury, but the Kraken will likely turn back to Daccord on Friday against the Philidelphia Flyers. Daccord has been nothing short of sensational since stepping in as the defacto starting goalie for the Kraken earlier this month, allowing two or fewer goals in six of seven starts (4-1-2), posting a stellar .944 SV%. The Kraken are -127 home favourites against a Flyers team that played last night and could be without Travis Konecny.

Daccord will start Sunday's game in Dallas.

It will be a fifth-consecutive start for Daccord, who has been in tremendous form since taking the starting reigns from the injured Philipp Grubauer (lower-body). Daccord has been unfortunate to pick up just two wins across his last four starts despite posting a phenomenal .954 SV% over that span. His spectacular play of late has helped raise his SV% to .908 on the season after a rather poor start to his 2023-24 campaign. He'll have his hands full tonight with the Kraken being +180 underdogs in Dallas.

Daccord will start Thursday's game against Chicago.

Daccord is coming off his first career shutout, a 24-save performance, in a 4-0 win over the Florida Panthers on Tuesday. Daccord has become the de facto starting goalie for the Kraken with Philipp Grubauer out of the lineup but has been better than him between the pipes all season. Over his past three starts, Daccord has saved 73 of 77 shots (.949 SV%) but only managed a 1-2-0 record due to the Kraken's inability to score consistently. That said, Seattle has a favourable matchup on Thursday as -236 home favourites against the Chicago Blackhawks, who have lost two straight and rank second-worst in the league offensively (2.36 GF / GP).

Daccord will start against the Panthers on Tuesday.

With Philipp Grubauer out of the lineup, Daccord will start for the second consecutive game. In his first game as the number one goalie for Seattle, Daccord played well, saving 23 of 25 shots in a 3-0 loss to the Minnesota Wild, but as has been the case most of the season, he did not receive ample goal support. The 27-year-old goaltender has been serviceable this season, even outperforming Grubauer, but has only managed three victories in 15 appearances (3-5-6) while posting a 2.92 GAA and .896 SV%.

Daccord will start against the Canucks on Friday.

Grubauer remains out of the lineup with an undisclosed injury, and as such, Daccord will be the starter for the Kraken again on Friday. Daccord has been strong since Grubauer suffered his injury, saving 35 of 38 shots (.921 SV%) in two appearances (1-0-1). The Kraken are slight +101 home underdogs against their division rivals, the Vancouver Canucks, who have cooled off after their hot start to the season, losing three of their last four (1-3-0).

Joey Daccord will start Wednesday vs. San Jose.

With Philipp Grubauer sidelined due to an injury, Daccord will start Wednesday against the last-place San Jose Sharks. The 2023-24 season has been bumpy for Daccord, who has allowed at least three goals in eight of his nine starts (88.9%), going 2-2-5 with a 2.98 GAA and .901 SV% overall. That said, the Kraken are -300 home favourites against a Sharks team that averages a league-worst 1.50 goals per game.

Joey Daccord
Daccord will start Wednesday in Edmonton.

Daccord will take over the Kraken crease for a second-straight game after losing his previous contest 5-1 to Colorado after stopping 26 of 31 shots against (.839 SV%). The 27-year-old veteran will mark a career high in appearances Wednesday as he makes his ninth of the season and is 2-2-3 with a .903 SV% and 2.89 GAA. He takes on the refuelled Edmonton Oilers, who have won two straight and are third in the NHL in shots per game (34.0) but are 24th in the NHL in goals per game (2.79).

Daccord will start against the Avalanche on Monday.

Daccord will be the starter for the Kraken on Monday as they take on the Colorado Avalanche. The Kraken typically opt to start Philipp Grubauer against his former team, but after allowing four goals on 13 shots in the first period against the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday, the team will turn to Daccord. Daccord saved all nine shots he faced coming in relief of Grubauer for the final two periods on Saturday and has a 2.59 GAA and .913 SV% in seven games this season (2-1-3). The Kraken are +138 home underdogs against an Avalanche team that has lost five of their last seven games (2-5-0), being shut out three times in that span.
