Larsson (wrist/elbow) will miss the rest of the regular season.

Larsson suffered a dislocated wrist and elbow on Saturday and will miss the next 16 weeks rehabbing his injuries. Larsson is expected to be out until May, which means he could be back if the Sabres end up making the playoffs and go on a run.

Larsson registered one goal and one assist in his first two games, but was held off of the scoreboard in the next six games of his recall. The 22-year-old forward heads back to Rochester, where he has 23 points (8G / 15A) in 26 games.

Larsson did not record a point with a minus-1 rating, while averaging 10:39 TOI in four games with the Sabres. Sending Larsson back to Rochester suggests that Marcus Foligno will be back in the lineup on Tuesday.

Larsson, 22, has been recalled to fill-in for Marcus Foligno who is banged up. Larson has three goals and five assists (8 points) in nine games with Rochester this season. He has totalled four assists in 29 career NHL games.

Larsson was a healthy scratch in the last three games and had just one assist in 17 games. The Sabres had an extremely young team, but changed that by sending multiple players to Rochester and juniors. Larsson like many of Buffalo's young skaters has a bright future ahead of him, but is not fantasy relevant at this time.

Larsson was the 56th overall pick in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. Larsson is good in both ends of the ice and should be able to adapt his game to the NHL. He has 15 goals and 22 assists in 62 games in the AHL this season.
