Jonathan Ericsson News

Jonathan Ericsson will play tonight for the Wings in Chicago.

This is great news for Red Wings fans as they get one of their regulars back on the blueline. Ericsson will bring some experience back to the Red Wings blueline, and should log a lot of minutes. However he isn't a great fantasy option as he only registered 1 goal in 69 games last season.

Jonathan Ericsson (fractured left wrist) practiced with the team for the first time since getting injured on Feb. 25 but won't return until late March or early April.

There's nothing wrong with Ericsson's legs, so expect him to keep his conditioning level up. However, he probably misses the rest of the regular season due to his fractured wrist.

DETROIT -- Ian White's injury will give Jonathan Ericsson an opportunity to play alongside Nicklas Lidstrom on the Detroit Red Wings' top defense pairing Tuesday in St. Louis

Ericsson only registered an assist through his first 15 games but could see his offensive production spike with the increased minutes. Certainly something you would want to watch for.
