Jonathan Quick News

Quick will start in Los Angeles on Tuesday.

Quick has had a tale of two seasons, playing tremendously in limited action as Igor Shesterkin's backup, posting a 2.14 GAA and .924 SV% in 10 games (3-6-1). But an injury to Shesterkin thrust Quick into the starting role earlier this month, posting an ugly 4.43 GAA and .786 SV% in five games (0-4-1). The 39-year-old veteran Quick hopes to rebound on Tuesday when he visits his former team, the Los Angeles Kings, with whom he spent his first 16 NHL seasons.

Quick will start vs. Ottawa on Wednesday.

With Igor Shesterkin (lower body) still sidelined, Quick will start for a fourth game in a row. Before taking over as New York's de facto starting goalie, Quick was showcasing marvelous numbers, posting a 2.14 GAA and .924 SV% in 10 games (3-6-1). Since Shesterkin's injury, Quick is boasting an ugly 4.01 GAA and .814 SV% in four outings (0-3-1). The Rangers enter Wednesday's contest as +103 home underdogs against an Ottawa Senators team that defeated the Vancouver Canucks 2-1 yesterday, snapping a four-game losing streak (0-4-0).

Quick will start vs. Seattle on Monday.

With Igor Shesterkin (lower body) still sidelined, Quick will return to the crease on Monday after a miserable performance over the weekend, allowing six goals on 20 shots (.700 SV%) in an eventual 10-2 loss to the Boston Bruins. The 39-year-old Quick has struggled since taking over for Shesterkin, posting an ugly 4.34 GAA and .776 SV% in three games (0-2-1). Before Shesterkin's injury, Quick was sporting an excellent 2.15 GAA and .924 SV% in 10 games (3-6-1). The Rangers enter Monday's contest as -132 home favorites against a Seattle Kraken team that has scored just two goals in its last two games (0-1-1).

Quick will start against the Sabres on Thursday.

Igor Shesterkin was placed on injured reserve with a lower-body injury, so Quick will begin his era as the Rangers' interim starter when they travel to Buffalo on Thursday. Quick himself will be looking to snap a seven-game winless streak that spans over two months, with his last victory coming way back on November 7th, though that's largely due to a lack of goal support. The 40-year-old's record sits at 3-6-2 on the season despite posting a .919 SV% and 2.23 GAA across 11 appearances. Quick and the Rangers enter action on Thursday at +105 on the money line.

Jonathan Quick
Quick will start in Washington on Wednesday.

The Rangers will turn to Quick on the tail end of a back-to-back on Wednesday against the Washington Capitals. Quick has been excellent in a supporting role but has been punished by the Rangers' lack of scoring, posting a losing 3-5-1 record despite an elite 1.79 GAA and .937 SV% in nine games.

Jonathan Quick
Quick will start vs. Vancouver on Tuesday.

On the tail end of a back-to-back, a night after a disappointing 4-1 loss to the Anaheim Ducks, the Rangers will turn to Quick to tend the twine on Tuesday against the Vancouver Canucks. The 39-year-old veteran Quick has been excellent in a limited role this season, posting a stellar 1.86 GAA and .937 SV% in seven games (3-3-1). The Rangers enter Tuesday's contest as -113 home favorites against the Canucks.

Jonathan Quick
Quick has been placed on IR with a lower-body injury.

Quick has been excellent in a supporting role this season, posting an absurd 1.69 GAA and .944 SV% in six games (3-3-0). The veteran 39-year-old goalie saved 31 of 34 shots (.912 SV%) in Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Utah Mammoth. He was absent from practice on Monday and was subsequently placed on Injured Reserve. We await further news from the Rangers on the severity of his injury, or lack thereof, but he will be sidelined for at least one week before he is eligible to be activated from IR.

Jonathan Quick
Quick (lower-body) is not practicing on Monday and is being further evaluated by New York's medical staff.

Quick will start in Detroit on Friday.

The Rangers suffered their fourth shutout loss through 14 games this season (6-6-2) and hope the veteran presence of Jonathan Quick between the pipes can return them to the win column. The 39-year-old Quick has been used sparingly early in the 2025-26 season, but has been excellent when called upon, posting a stellar 1.35 GAA and a .941 SV% in three games (2-1-0). The Rangers enter Friday's contest as +107 road underdogs against a Red Wings team that is 5-1-0 on home ice this season.

Quick will start in Vancouver on Tuesday.

The Rangers are off to a disappointing 3-5-2 start this season, but can't pin the blame on either of the goaltenders, who have regularly been effective between the pipes. The veteran 39-year-old Quick has seen limited action but been solid when called upon, showcasing a 2.03 GAA and .911 SV% in two games (1-1-0). The Rangers enter Tuesday's contest as -111 road favorites against a Vancouver Canucks team with a 5-5-0 record to start the season
