Josh Harding News

Josh Harding has cleared waivers and been assigned to Iowa (AHL).

Harding was suspended in the offseason after breaking his foot following an altercation with his teammate. Harding likely was not claimed because of all the time he has missed with multiple sclerosis over the last few years.

#mnwild has activated Josh Harding from Injured Reserve and placed him on waivers.

Harding broke his foot in the offseason and was suspended by the team thereafter. Stay tuned to see if he is claimed by another team or simply sent down to the minors.

Harding (foot) traveled to New Jersey with the team.

Harding has been out all season with a broken foot that he suffered in a bizarre incident before the season started. He broke his foot kicking a wall and was suspended by the team afterwards. He skated on Monday for the first time, but remains without a timeline for a return. There is no word on what the Wild are expected to do when all three goalies are healthy.

Harding is expected to miss two to three months after breaking his right foot on Wednesday.

Harding broke his foot after kicking a wall following an off-ice altercation with a teammate. After missing half of last season with complications with multiple sclerosis , Harding was expected to be the Wild's number-1 netminder in 2014-15. With Darcy Kuemper still unsigned, the WIld's goaltending situation is as messy as ever.

Harding (illness) has joined the WIld in Chicago.

Harding has not played since December 31 because of complications with his multiple sclerosis. He has not skated since mid-March and is not expected to return any time soon. However, this is the first time he has joined his teammates on a road-trip in a long time, so this is a step in the right direction.

Harding is unlikely to return this season.

Harding has not played a game since December 31 because of complications with his multiple sclerosis. This is unfortunate because Harding was having a tremendous season before the MS forced him from action. He was 18-7-3 with a 1.66 GAA and .933 SV% at the time he stopped playing. The effects of MS will likely haunt him throughout his playing career. Expect Darcy Kuemper and Ilya Bryzgalov to manage the Wild goal for the remainder of the season.

Harding, who practiced all last week, didn't practice today because he's not feeling well again.

Harding has missed nine consecutive games and 13 of the past 15 games since having a "minor adjustment" to his treatment for multiple sclerosis. This is obviously bad news for Harding who appears to have taken a step-back in his recovery.

Josh Harding (illness) has missed nine consecutive games and 13 of the past 15 but has practiced all week.

Wild head coach Mike Yeo said the team will “keep going day to day and figure out how he’s feeling. He’s making progress and he looks good and I’m kind of waiting for a final word or a little bit more information as far as what I’m told from the trainers and the doctors.”

Harding (illness) took part in the Wild's morning skate for the first time in over a week.

Harding remains on IR and there is no timetable for his return, but his presence at the morning skate is definite progress. The Wild will continue to roll with Darcy Kuemper and Niklas Backstrom while Harding is sidelined.

Harding skated on his own with goalie coach Bob Mason before the rest of the team took the ice Saturday. Wild coach Yeo says it's a good sign for Harding, who has missed the past four games due to not feeling well.

Prior to a two-game return in losses to the Islanders and St. Louis, Harding missed another four games to make what was termed "a minor adjustment" to his treatment protocol for multiple sclerosis. Yeo said it was a good sign to see Harding on the ice, but didn’t have a specific timetable for Harding’s return. “I talked to him this morning and he’s been feeling better the last couple days,” Yeo said. “So we’ll look for him to join the group here soon.

Harding (illness) has been placed on injured reserve.

The details to what has been ailing Harding have been extremely vague. Obviously you worry about it potentially being related to his multiple sclerosis, which would likely sideline him long-term. We will await an official word from the team.

Josh Harding will miss his second game and third day in a row because he's not "feeling well." That's the only detail or update Yeo has provided, but this is obviously a concern.

"We'll just keep going day-to-day here. Not much of an update," WIld head coach Mike Yeo said. Yeo did talk today like Darcy Kuemper is here to stay for a bit and Niklas Backstrom must step up like he did against Buffalo.

Harding starts for the WIld.

Harding gave up five goals on 31 shots in a loss to the Islanders on Sunday. It was his first start since December 17 and it did not go as Harding would have liked. Regardless, he will be back in the cage tonight vs. St. Louis. He is 14-2-0 with a 1.54 GAA and .935 SV% at home.

Josh Harding will start tonight for #mnwild against @NYIslanders

Harding will return to the cage tonight after missing the last four games while receiving treatment for multiple sclerosis. Before leaving the team he had won five of his last six starts with a 1.46 GAA and .946 SV%. Tonight he takes on an Islanders team on the tail-end of a back-to-back in a building where he is 14-1-0 this season.

Harding is back with the Wild after being off to receive treatment for multiple sclerosis.

Harding has been excellent in the first (almost) half of the season. He has started the season 18-5-3 with a 1.51 GAA and .939 SV%. There is no word if he will jump right back into the net tonight vs. Winnipeg or if Niklas Backstrom will make one more start.

Harding has been placed on injured reserve to make a minor adjustment to his treatment protocol for multiple sclerosis.

“This is not a major situation at all,” GM Chuck Fletcher said. “This didn’t come out of the blue. I’ve been talking to Josh for a while about this. He needs to make an adjustment in his protocols, and now is a good time to do it [with the Dec. 24-26 holiday break on the horizon]. The Wild’s longtime No. 2 goalie never relinquished the No. 1 reins after Niklas Backstrom, the team’s all-time leader with 186 wins, strained a knee October 8 in Nashville. Harding leads the NHL with a 1.51 goals-against average and is second with a .939 save percentage. Johan Gustafsson was recalled from Iowa of the American Hockey League to back up Backstrom, who presumably will start at least two of the next three games.

Harding vs. Luongo in Minnesota tonight.

Harding stopped 26 of 27 shots in Saturday's shootout victory against the Avalanche. Harding continues to dominate the NHL - he has won four of his last five starts with a 1.38 GAA and .949 SV%. Harding has a tough matchup with the Canucks in town, but his 13-1-0, 1.25 GAA and .945 SV% at home says he is a must-start.
