Morrissey (upper-body) will be out until at least early-April.
Morrissey suffered an upper-body injury after being hit by Vinnie Hinostroza on Sunday and will miss the entire month of March. Head coach Paul Maurice his “window” to return “opens in April.” The Jets obviously knew this was the case, which is why they went out and got Nathan Beaulieu and Bogdan Kiselevich on Monday.

Morrissey suffered an upper-body injury after being in Arizona on Sunday and there is fear that he could miss an extended period of time. The Jets went out and acquired a few depth defenseman at the trade deadline, which suggests there could be some truth to that. Morrissey will return to Winnipeg to be re-evaluated and they should provide a more detailed update after that.
Morrissey (lower-body) will return to the Jets lineup on Saturday.

Morrissey will miss Thursday’s game but head coach Paul Maurice said that his is likely to return to the lineup on Saturday. Luckily for the Jets, they will be getting Dustin Byfuglien back tonight.

The Jets have signed Josh Morrissey to a two-year extension worth $6.3 million ($3.15M AAV).
Morrissey will be back in the Jets lineup on Thursday.
Morrissey was given some rest the other night but will draw back in tonight vs. the Flames. Morrissey has scored a goal in his last two games, to give him seven goals and 19 assists (26 points) in 79 games this season.
Morrissey will be rested Tuesday in Montreal.

Morrissey, 20, was the 13th overall pick in 2013 and was an elite point-producer from the blueline in juniors. He has collected three goals and 19 assists (22 points) in 56 games with Manitoba (AHL) this season.

The Jets have recalled Josh Morrissey from Manitoba (AHL).
Morrissey, 20, was the 13th overall pick in 2013. He has 22 points (3G / 19A) in 56 games in his first season with Manitoba. With Jacob Trouba sidelined with an upper-body injury, Morrissey will make his NHL debut alongside Tyler Myers.
