Kinkaid had a terrible start to his Canadiens' career, going 1-1-3 with a 4.24 and .875 SV% in six appearances. With two quality goaltending prospects in the AHL, he was waived and will not split time with Charlie Lindgren with Laval after clearing waivers on Tuesday afternoon.

Kinkaid will start Saturday vs. the Flyers.

Kinkaid gave up three goals on 13 shots after replacing Carey Price in Montreal's blowout loss to the Bruins on Tuesday. Kinkaid has had a really difficult time this season, allowing at least three goals in all five of his outings, going 1-1-2 with a 4.29 GAA and .877 SV%. Until he can get back on-track, he shouldn't be considered as a spot-start option.

The Blue Jackets have acquired Keith Kinkaid from the Devils for a 2022 fifth-round pick.

Kinkaid became the Devils No.1 netidner this season because Cory Schneider fought injury to start the season. Kinkaid had a good start to the year but is 15-18-6 and ranks 48th in the NHL in GAA (3.36) and last among qualified netminders in SV% (.891).

Kinkaid will start Friday in Minnesota.

Kinkaid allowed eight goals on 39 shots in the Devils loss in St. Louis on Tuesday. Kinkaid has lost seven of his last nine (2-7-0) while posting a terrible 4.14 GAA and .877 SV%. He draws a quality matchup against a Wild team that has lost six of their last seven (1-4-2) but Kinkaid isn’t playing well enough to be considered tonight.

Kinkaid will start Tuesday in St. Louis.

Kinkaid allowed two goals on 35 shots in the Devils win over the Hurricanes on Sunday. It was impressive way to end an ugly two-game stretch for Kinkaid, who has the ninth worst GAA (3.15) and SV% (.898 SV%) among qualified netminders this season. He draws a rough matchup tonight in St. Louis—the Blues have won six in a row while averaging 3.5 goals for per game.
