The loss snapped a four-game winning streak for Kinkaid, who now has a 1.61 GAA, .941 SV% and two shutouts in his first five starts of the season. This afternoon he faces a Flyers team that is tied for 11th in goals for per game (3.43) so far.

Kinkaid stopped all 24 shots in the Devils shutout win over the Stars on Tuesday. Kinkaid has won his first four starts of the season while posting a stellar 1.00 GAA, .961 SV% and two shutouts. Kinkaid has been the biggest surprise of the season and is a good start against an Avalanche team that is 16-20-8 on the road dating back to last October.

Kinkaid has enjoyed a great start to the season with Cory Schneider out—he is 3-0-0 with a 1.34 GAA, .949 SV% and one shutout in his first three starts of the season. Tonight he faces a Stars team that has started the season 3-2-0 while averaging 3.60 goals for per game, but come in on the tail-end of a back-to-back.

Kinkaid allowed two goals on 19 shots in the Devils win over the Oilers in Sweden last Saturday. After nearly one week off, Kinkaid will be back between the pipes tonight vs. the Capitals. Washington is on the tail-end of a back-to-back, but lead the NHL with 6.00 goals for per game in their first three contests.

Kinkaid appeared in a career-high 41 games last season, going 26-10-3 with a 2.77 GAA and .913 SV%. With Cory Schneider out to star the season, Kinkaid will start the Devils season opener in Sweden. He draws a difficult matchup against Connor McDavid, but is a solid No.3 fantasy option while Schneider is out.
