Dineen confirmed that Versteeg’s nose is fractured and he’s also been experiencing headaches since the cheap shot delivered by Hurricanes defenseman Derek Joslin in Tuesday’s 3-1 win.

Versteeg was injured in an accidental play during the Panthers tilt against the Carolina Hurricanes. The Lethbridge, Alberta native should be out for a few games as he recovers from his injury and likely concussion. Expect Evgenii Dadonov to continue playing on the top line.
