Couture (leg) will miss the Sharks’ five-game road trip.

Couture underwent a procedure to close up an artery due to bleeding in his right thigh and will miss at least the next five games. It will be the Sharks final five games before the Christmas break, so monitor his status when the team gets back into action after the break.

Couture left Wednesday's game with a lower-body injury and did not return.

Couture was playing in just his second game after missing 23 with a broken fibula. Exiting Wednesday's game sparks speculation that Couture may have suffered a setback. The details are limited at this point, so expect an update on Thursday or Friday.

Couture has been out since October 13th, but will be back in the Sharks lineup on Tuesday. Couture will skate on the Sharks’ second line with Patrick Marleau and Joel Ward and will also be featured on the top power-play unit. Couture had one assist in three games before his injury.

The Sharks have activated Logan Couture (fibula) off of IR.

Couture has been out since October 13th because of a broken fibula, but he was activated from IR, which suggests that he will return to the lineup on Tuesday. The Sharks would not confirm that Couture would play vs. the Flames, so we will await word after Tuesday’s morning skate.

Couture is just over six weeks into his original 4-6 week timetable, so his return should be around the corner. He reportedly stayed on the ice for 30 minutes and look like he was moving well. Couture will need to participate in a number of practice sessions without limitations before he is cleared to play.

Couture will undergo surgery to repair a broken fibula; expected to miss 4-6 weeks.

Couture broke his fibula when his skate caught a rut in the ice and he is expected to miss at least one month. It all reality the news could have been much worse for Couture, but the Sharks’ offence takes a huge hit losing Couture. With their second line centre out, the Sharks recalled Nikolay Goldobin, who will make his NHL debut on Friday.

Couture suffered a foot/ankle injury in Thursday’s practice; spotted on crutches leaving the building.

Couture had to be helped off of the ice at practice this afternoon and was reportedly seen leaving the facility on crutches with is right foot in a boot. Couture will be evaluated, but the Sharks are not expected to release any information about Couture’s injury until Friday.

Couture skated this morning, feels good but need to pass one more test to play.

Couture suffered an apparent head injury in the Sharks win over the Flyers on Tuesday. He skate in the top-6 this morning and said that he is feeling good to go tonight, but needs to pass one more concussion protocol test. Consider him as a game-time decision.

Couture left Tuesday’s game with a possible head injury and did not return.

Couture caught an inadvertent shoulder to the jaw when he collided with Flyers’ forward Michael Raffl. Couture went down in a heap, left the game and did not return. "He was checked out during the game," coach Todd McLellan said after San Jose's 2-1 victory. "I saw him after. He looks OK, but he'll be re-evaluated in the morning."

Couture (foot) is a game-time decision On Thursday.

Couture missed two periods on Monday and Tuesday's game after taking a blast off the foot in the first period in Calgary on Monday. He did skate this afternoon, which is a good sign that he will be in the lineup, but the 10:30 pm ET start puts a strain on your lineup.

Couture is "fine" and may play Tuesday after leaving Monday's game in the first period and not returning.

Couture was injured while blocking a shot on Monday vs. the Flames. He attempted to return to the game in the second period, but retired to the dressing room after one shift. Monitor Couture's status prior to tonight's 9:30 ET puck-drop. He had 12 points in his previous 13 games before Monday.

Couture confirmed that only an unexpected occurrence would keep him out of the Sharks’ next game, on Thursday against the Flyers. Couture missed the last 16 games with a right hand injury, and he still wraps it for practice. He hurt himself on December 19 in Los Angeles, played through it for nearly three weeks, and eventually had surgery on January 8. “I’m ready to go in three or four days, whatever it is. Feels good as its felt in three months,” he said. Couture has 14 goals, 21 assists (35 points) and a plus-13 rating in 43 games this season.

“He was shooting the puck very well. Better than he has been over the last week," said Sharks head coach Todd McLellan. "That just shows progress. His legs and lungs have been maintained very well. I think when he finally gets the go-ahead to really get involved the conditioning will come quick. The timing will take a couple games, but is he on pace to play before the Olympic break? I sure hope so, but I can’t answer that definitively.” Couture will miss his 10th straight game tonight.
