Lubomir Visnovsky News

Visnovsky arrived in Long Island today, and could play tomorrow but unlikely.

Visnovsky posted 6 G and 21 assists in only 68 games last year and will be a welcomed addition to the Islanders blueline. He is only owned in 33% of ESPN leagues so if he is available in your league he could be a great Waiver wire pickup. Monitor if he'll be in the lineup tomorrow.

No date set for Lubomir Visnovsky to report to Islanders yet, but his agent confirms that Visnovsky is coming to Long Island.

Visnovsky may not have been drafted in a lot of fantasy leagues, so if he does return it may be useful to pick him up. Wait to find out how long it will be before he returns before jumping to the waiver wire.

Lubomir Visnovsky, the veteran defenseman the Islanders acquired for a second-round pick on draft day in June, intends to stay in his home country of Slovakia for the remainder of this season, his agent told Newsday.

Burning a second rounder during the draft is really going to irk the Isles fans on this decision. They'll fight it but this could mirror the Nabokov situation from a couple years ago.

Lubomir Visnovsky, out with a broken finger since Nov. 11, is on the verge of returning. Boudreau said the defenseman could return “within a week to 10 days.” That means Visnovsky could be practicing with the Ducks by the middle of next week.

Good news for Visnovsky owners and the Ducks. Expect him to reclaim his spot on the top defensive pairing as the team has barely replaced him.

#NHLDucks Lubomir Visnovsky (finger) said gripping a stick still hurts. Will have x-rays Sunday to see where he is after 23 days.

Not great news for Visnovsky, who could be battling a nagging injury all season. After scoring 18 goals and 68 points last season, he's struggled with a goal and four points through 16 games.

Ducks D Lubomir Visnovsky to miss next four weeks due to broken finger on right hand.

Losing Visnovsky is a huge blow to the Ducks in all scenarios. While the Slovakian defenseman will not require surgery, he likely will use all four weeks to recover. Expect the team to try Kurtis Foster on the power play and give Luca Sbisa and Cam Fowler added responsibility.
