Marc-Andre Fleury News

Marc-Andre Fleury will be back in net for the Penguins when the face the Lightning on Saturday night.

Fleury is 3-0-0 and has allowed only three goals on 82 shots. It is the best start of his 10-year career. New Jersey, Buffalo and Carolina rarely tested Fleury consistently, though there were moments when he was required to, and made, sensational saves. Tampa Bay is a significantly stronger offensive outfit than any of the Penguins’ opening four opponents, so the first blip on Fleury's stat line could come tonight.

No surprise here, but Marc-Andre Fleury will start for the Penguins.

Fleury starts tomorrow for the Penguins.

Fleury had a good regular season going 23-8-0 with a 2.39 GAA and .916. However it was the playoffs in which he struggled yet again (3.51/.883). Fleury is a strong fantasy option because of the team he plays behind. The Penguins are Stanley Cup favourites once again so as long as Fleury does not collapse he will be a solid number-1.

Fleury will start tonight vs. the Islanders.

The Penguins should have no problem taking care of the Islanders in this first round series. The Isles are not a bad team but Pittsburgh is just too good. Fleury is looking to put last year's disappointing playoff performance behind him. He was fantastic 23-8-0 with a 2.39 GAA and .916 SV% in the regular season. However he has been pulled in each of his last two home starts vs. the Islanders.
