The Jets have placed Mark Letestu (undisclosed) on IR.
Letestu was considered day-to-day earlier in the week and they were still waiting on tests to be done. Obviously they didn’t get great news and Letestu landed on IR on Friday.

Letestu is day-to-day with an undisclosed injury.
Letestu has appeared in all seven games this season but will come out of the lineup on Tuesday. David Gustafsson will make his NHL debut replacing Letestu against the Coyotes.

The Blue Jackets have recalled Mark Letestu from Cleveland (AHL).
Letestu has spent the entire season in the AHL, where he has collected 26 points (13G / 13A) in 39 games. Letestu could make his season debut on Tuesday with Boone Jenner dealing with an undisclosed injury.

The Blue Jackets have acquired Mark Letestu from the Predators for a 2018 fourth round draft pick.
Letestu had a career-year in Edmonton last season, but has not been quite as productive in 2017-18. With the Oilers surprisingly out of the playoff race Letestu heads back to Columbus, where he played from 2012-to-2015. Letestu will play a bottom-6 role but should also see some power-play time, like he did in Edmonton.

Letestu was not on the ice for the Oilers’ morning skate and is not expected to play on Wednesday vs. the Bruins. Latest has two goals and three assists in 25 games this season, so he isn’t a great fantasy option regardless. If Letestu likely out, look for Luke Gazdic to be back in the lineup.

Letestu underwent surgery today to repair groin and abdominal injuries and is expected to be sidelined approximately six week.
Letestu tallied three goals and two assists for five points in nine games before being sidelined in late-October. The 29-year-old has registered 54 goals and 65 assists (119 points) and 53 penalty minutes in 273 career NHL games. He is expected to be out until mid-January.

The injuries continue to mount for the Blue Jackets. Letestu was playing more minutes than ever because Columbus is so shorthanded right now, but now they will be without their 29-year-old centre for 2-4 weeks. Expect some more call-ups to come to replace all of the injured veterans.
