Stone was surprisingly on the ice for the morning skate, taking part in line rushes and on the power-play. All signs are pointing towards him returning to the lineup on Saturday, but head coach Pete DeBoer has officially listed him as a game-time decision.

Stone missed Monday's game in Minnesota but will be a game-time decision for Wednesday's rematch. Alex Tuch moved to the top line with Stone out, so expect them to stick with the same lineup if he can't play tonight.

Stone was hurt midway through Saturday's game in San Jose and will be a game-time decision on Monday. If Stone can't play, expect Tomas Nosek to draw back into the lineup and Alex Tuch would most likely move into the top-6.

Stone was labouring at the end of Game 4 after blocked a Joe Pavelski shot but was able to finish the game. On Sunday, head coach Pete DeBoer did not have an update on the winger, so consider him a game-time decision for Game 5. Stone has struggled offensively as of late, posting just one goal and one assist in his last six games.

Golden Knights Pete DeBoer says that Stone remains week-to-week but that he anticipates Stone to be back for some regular-season games. Nicolas Roy is expected to remain in the top-6 moving forward.

Stone was acquired from the Senators and signed an eight-year extension with the Golden Knights right away. Stone, who is one of the league’s best wingers, will make his debut on a line with Max Pacioretty and Paul Stastny.

Stone was a pending free-agent and the Golden Knights likely wouldn’t have part with their top prospect Erik Brannstrom if they weren’t re-signing Stone. Stone is projected to start on the Golden Knights’ top-line with William Karlsson and Jonathan Marchessault, where he should take his game to the next level.

Stone became the face of the Senators franchise after they traded away Erik Karlsson but it became clear that they were unlikely to reach an extension, which is why he was ultimately dealt at the deadline. Stone has already set a career-high in goals (28), marking the fifth straight season he has recorded 20-plus goals and 30-plus assists. Stone is also a reliable defensive player and is one of the league’s great pickpockets. He projects to skate in the Vegas top-6 and could even start on the top-line with William Karlsson and Jonathan Marchessault.

Stone was given Monday morning off to “give him a break” because he has a “little nagging thing,” according to Senators head coach Guy Boucher. Stone comes into Monday’s meeting with the Stars with two goals and one assist in five games this season.
