The Blue Jackets have reassigned Marko Dano to Cleveland (AHL).

Dano played in three games during his call-up but played just 5:52 TOI on Thursday. Even with Cam Atkinson getting hurt in the game, they've sent Dano back to the AHL, so expect them to give another Cleveland forward a look. Dano has three goals and nine assists (12 points) in 25 AHL games.

The Blue Jackets recalled Marko Dano from Cleveland (AHL) under emergency conditions.

Columbus lost Sonny Milano and Josh Anderson to upper-body injuries on Saturday, so Dano and Kevin Stenlund have been recalled and will likely play on Monday. Dano has spent the entire season with Cleveland so far, scoring three goals with nine assists (12 points) in 25 games.

The Blue Jackets have signed Marko Dano to a one-year, two-way deal.

Dano was originally a first-round pick (No.27 overall in 2013) of the Blue Jackets but was traded to the Blackhawks as a part of the Brandon Saad deal in 2015. Since then, Dano has played 13 games for the Blackhawks, 82 games for the Jets and eight games for the Avalanche. He spent most of last season in the AHL, where he had 30 points (12G / 18A) in 51 games for the Manitoba Moose. Dano will be a fringe NHLer for the Blue Jackets and could start 2020 in the AHL.

Dano will make his Avalanche debut on Monday.

Dano was claimed off of waivers from the Jets and will make his Colorado debut in Philadelphia. Just like most of his time in Winnipeg, Dano will skate on Colorado’s fourth line tonight, but has a path to more ice-time if he plays well. The 23-year-old former first-round pick has just 19 goals and 26 assist (45 points) in 130 career NHL games.

The Avalanche have claimed Marko Dano off of waivers from the Jets.

Dano was a first round pick (No.27 overall) in 2013 but had just two goals and one assist in 23 games with the Jets last season. A deep lineup in Winnipeg forced Dano to play a third or fourth line role, but he could get a bigger chance with the Avalanche, who are devoid of middle-6 wingers.

Dano (lower-body) will travel on the upcoming road trip but is not expected to play.

Dano has been sidelined by a lower-body injury since December 29th, but is nearing a return to the Jets’ lineup. The 22-year-old had 10 points (3G / 7A) in 28 games before getting hurt and how much he practices on the road trip will indicate how close he is to returning.

The Jets have placed Marko Dano (lower-body) on IR.

Jets’ head coach Paul Maurice indicated on Thursday that Dano would likely miss a few weeks with a lower-body injury that he suffered last night. With his move to IR, the Jets used that roster spot to call-up Andrew Copp, who was just sent down.

Dano (lower-body) is expected to miss a few weeks.

Dano left Thursday’s game with a lower-body injury and did not return. Head coach Paul Maurice said post-game that Dano will undergo tests on Friday but isn’t optimistic. Dano will likely miss some time and if that’s the case expect them to recall a forward before Saturday’s game.

Dano left Tuesday’s game with a face injury and did not return.

Dano’s face was pretty carved up in Tuesday’s game and forced him to leave and not return. Dano tweeted a picture of his face post-game and seemed to be in good spirits, which bodes well for his availability for Thursday’s game.

The Jets have recalled Marko Dano from Manitoba (AHL).

The Jets placed Bryan Little on IR to make room for Dano, who has picked up two assists in six games with Manitoba this season. Dano spent some time with the Jets last year, picking up eight points (4G / 4A) in 21 games.
