The Canucks re-signed Markus Granlund to a one-year deal worth $1.475M.
Granlund had eight goals and four assists (12 points) in 53 games with the Canucks last season. The former second-round pick (No.45 in 2011) fell short of his 32-point (19G / 13A) season from the year before and figures to be a botto-6 or reserve forward with them in 2019.
Granlund will miss at least month with an ankle injury.

Granlund will undergo wrist surgery and is out indefinitely.
Granlund had been playing well on a line with the Sedin twins, but will undergo surgery that is expected to sideline him for the remainder of the regular season. The 22-year-old will look to build off of his 19-goal, 13-assist season next year.

Granlund missed Saturday’s game with food poisoning, but will play tonight vs. the Bruins. Granlund will skate with the Sedin Twins and comes into play with five goals and four assists (nine points) in his last 14 games.

Granlund missed Saturday’s game with what was believed to be mumps, but he was misdiagnosed. Granlund is feeling better and will suit up tonight vs. the Red Wings. He comes in with 15 goals and 11 assists (26 points) in 60 games this season.

Mumps is ripping through the Canucks’ dressing room and will keep Granlund out of the lineup tonight. With Granlund out, Joe Labate has been recalled from Utica (AHL) and is expected to draw into the lineup.

Granlund suffered an upper-body injury in Tuesday’s loss to the Jets and will miss Wednesday’s game vs. the Avalanche. Granlund will come out, but the Canucks are expected to get Alex Burrows back in the lineup tonight. Granlund is day-to-day.
