St. Louis went to NYU Medical Center for evaluation, GM Yzerman said St. Louis is swollen but had no other update on extent of injury.

Awful timing as St. Louis was struck with a puck by teammate Dominic Moore. Reports indicate that the veteran was hit directly in the eye which could keep him out of the lineup for the first time since the 2005-2006 campaign.

As one of the National Hockey League's star players, St. Louis is confident in life's returns, because he always has "put in" more than the next player.

At age 36, there is no reason to believe St. Louis cannot still perform. Last season he posted 31 goals and 99 points while flanking mostly Steven Stamkos. Expect a similar output from the diminutive, undrafted forward as he's only missed a game in seven of his last eight seasons.
