The Jets have acquired Matt Hendricks from the Wild for a seventh-round pick.
Hendricks is a quality depth/fourth-line addition for the Jets, who he played 65 games with last season. Hendricks only played in five of the Jets’ 17 playoff games a year ago, so don’t expect him to be a big factor for them this time around.
Hendricks is day-to-day with an upper-body injury and is questionable for Friday.
Hendricks left Tuesday’s game against the Flyers with an upper-body injury and likely won’t play on Friday. With both Hendricks and Victor Rask listed as day-to-day, Brad Hunt may dress as a forward tomorrow.

Hendricks lasted just a couple of shifts before losing Saturday’s game vs. the Avalanche with an upper-body injury. Hendricks will miss at least Tuesday’s game but could be ready for Friday’s game.

The Jets have activated Matt Hendricks (undisclosed) from injured reserve.
Hendricks has missed the first seven games of the season, but it looks like he will make his Jets debut on Thursday. In 42 games with the Oilers last year, Hendricks had just four goals and three assists (seven points).
