Maxime Lagace News

Lagace will start Thursday in Vancouver.

Lagace allowed seven goals on 29 shots before leaving Tuesday’s game in Edmonton with an injury. He has now won just two of his seven starts (+ one relief appearance) while posting a brutal 4.12 GAA and .860 SV%. No disrespect, but he was the Golden Knights’ fourth string goalie for a reason, so he’s a very risky fantasy option.

Lagace allowed two goals on 28 shots in the Golden Knights’ loss in Boston on Thursday. It was a much better performance than his first two appearances this season, but still wasn’t enough to get the ‘W’. This afternoon he faces a Senators team that has lost five of their last eight (3-2-3).

Lagace gave up five goals on 37 shots in the Golden Knights loss to the Rangers on Tuesday. Lagace looked good through two periods, but New York turned it on in the third and there wasn’t much the 24-year-old netminder could do. With all the other netminders on the Vegas roster out, the crease is Lagace’s for the foreseeable future.

Lagace will start Tuesday in New York.

Lagace entered Monday’s game in Brooklyn after Oscar Dansk suffered a lower-body injury and struggled, allowing four goals on 11 shots. With Dansk hurt, Gerard Gallant said “next man up” so Lagace is expected to go head-to-head with Henrik Lundqvist in his first career start. The Rangers come in at 3-7-2 while averaging 2.83 goals for per game.
