Smith expected to start in goal for the Coyotes.

Smith stopped all 23 shots that the Canucks threw his way in a 1-0 victory on Tuesday. Since returning to North America with a gold medal around his neck, Smith has gone 1-1-1 with a 1.96 GAA and .927 SV%. Tonight, he faces the Canadiens 20th ranked offence but who added Thomas Vanek to their lineup on Wednesday.

After sitting for two straight games, Smith has turned in back-to-back strong outings, stopping 60 of 63 shots (.952 SV%). He draws a tough assignment tonight with the Blackhawks in town looking to continue a strong road-trip.

Smith has a great matchup to earn his 18th win of the season tonight vs. Calgary. He stopped 22 of 24 shots in a 4-2 win over the Flames on October 22.

Smith stopped 33 of 35 shots in a win over the Devils on Saturday. After losing nine straight outings, Smith has now won back-to-back games while stopped 62 of 64 shots (.969 SV%). He faces the Maple Leafs for the second time this season, the first time he allowed on goal on 27 shots in a 2-1 shootout loss.

Tonight he faces the Devils and their 27th ranked offence at home. He is 10-6-3 with a 2.77 GAA and .906 SV% at Jobing.com Arena this season.
