Nick Palmieri News

Nick Palmieri, who was healthy scratch Monday, was on third line with Ryan Carter and David Clarkson.

Palmieri draws back in after being a healthy scratch. The big winger has chipped in with three goals and six points. However, his inconsistent playing time won't help him pad those stats.

Nick Palmieri has the size, hands and skating ability to become a productive NHL power forward.

The winger impressed last season, playing alongside Ilya Kovalchuk and Travis Zajac. Additionally, he scored nine goals and 17 points through 43 games which indicates he could score 20 at some point in his NHL career. Expect him to start the season on the third line with the opportunity of moving up a line.

Rookie Adam Henrique is getting a look centering a line with Mattias Tedenby and Nick Palmieri on his wings.

Palmieri received a cup of coffee last season, flanking Ilya Kovalchuk for most of it. His 9 goals showed his ability to light the lamp at the NHL level but won't be enough to grab in mixed leagues.
