Hawryluk (upper-body) is expected to miss one more week.

Hawryluk has missed the last seven games and head coach Joel Quenneville expects him to miss at least one more week (four games). They do expect Hawryluk to return to practice at some time this week, which leaves the door open for the winger to play next week.

Hawryluk will "probably" miss one month with an upper-body injury.

Hawryluk was absolutely destroyed by Nikita Zadorov in the Panthers/Avalanche game on Wednesday. With no reserve forwards, the Panthers will need to recall or a forward or go with 11 forwards and seven defensemen on Saturday.

Shore will draw back into the Maple Leafs lineup on Saturday.

Shore played 8:33 TOI in his Maple Leafs debut on Wednesday but was replaced by Jason Spezza last night. The Maple Leafs are essentially holding fourth-line auditions while Zach Hyman and Travis Dermott are out, so the player rotation will continue on Saturday.

Shore, who had 16 points in 37 KHL games last season, will make his Maple Leafs debut vs. Ottawa. Shore will centre the fourth line instead of Jason Spezza and has 53 points (15G / 38A) in 236 career NHL games with the Kings, Senators and Flames.

The Panthers have re-signed Jayce Hawryluk to a one-year, two-way contract.

Hawryluk was selected No.32 overall in 2014 and finally cracked the NHL roster in 2019. The 23-year-old right winger had 12 points (7G / 5A) in 42 games with the Panthers, while averaging just 9:26 TOI/gm. With Brett Connolly and Noel Acciari singing this summer and Owen Tippett knocking on the door to make the team in training camp, Hawryluk could start the year in the AHL again.
