The Red Wings have activated Niklas Kronwall (knee) from IR; expected to play on Tuesday.
Kronwall has missed the last 15 games after having his knee scoped, but he was activated from IR this morning and will return to the lineup vs. the Blue Jackets. Kronwall has three goals, 14 assists (17 points) and a minus-10 rating in 45 games this season. Xavier Ouellet will be a healthy scratch with Kronwall back.

Kronwall had his knee scoped on January 19th and was only expected to miss a minimum of two weeks. However, his movement to IR will keep him out of the lineup until at least February 14th.

Kronwall had his knee scoped on Tuesday and will miss at least the next two weeks or four games as a result. Kronwall’s injury is a huge blow for the Red Wings blueline, but it will give young defenseman Alexei Marchenko a chance to get back into the lineup.

Kronwall has been suspended for Game 7 on Wednesday.
Kronwall has been suspended for what the NHL’s department of Player Safety deemed as a “charge” for his hit on Lightning forward Nikita Kucherov. Kronwall has no previous history of fine or suspension, so he has only been given one game and will be back for Game 1 in Montreal, should the Red Wings get by the Lightning tonight.
Kronwall (rest) will not play on Saturday.
Kronwall has only missed one game this season, but he will miss his second game of the season tonight to get some rest prior to the playoffs. Kronwall finishes the year with his third highest point total having scored nine goals and 35 assists (44 points) in 80 games.
Kronwall (lower-body) will return to the Red Wings lineup on Thursday.
Kronwall was a late scratch on Tuesday, but will be back in the lineup tonight vs. the Sharks. With Kronwall back in, Jakub Kindl will be a scratch. Kronwall has three goals and nine assists (12 points) in his last 20 games.

Kronwall was a late scratch from yesterday’s game and is questionable for Thursday’s game against the Sharks. Monitor his status during the Red Wings morning skate.

Kronwall was a late scratch for Tuesday’s game against the Coyotes. There was no indication that Kronwall was battling any sort of injury, but he was held out because of a lower-body injury. He was replaced by Jakub Kindl and is considered day-to-day.
Kronwall (upper-body) is expected to play on Saturday vs. Ottawa.
Kronwall left Tuesday’s game with an upper-body injury and did not return. Monitor Kronwall’s status during the Red Wings’ morning skate, but he is expected to be in the lineup.

A speedy recovery for what was a scary hit. Kronwall will return to the Red Wings blueline tomorrow, but will find himself with a new D-partner with Jonathan Ericsson out. It will likely be Kyle Quincey or Danny DeKeyser. Xavier Ouellet has been reassigned to Grand Rapids (AHL).
Kronwall said he's waiting for results if the concussion tests he had this morning but he expects to be cleared for tomorrow.
Kronwall was a full participant in both Monday and Tuesday's practice so it appears as if he will be a go tomorrow vs. Ottawa. Rookie Xavier Ouellet or Brendan Smith are the likely candidates to come out of the lineup.

Detroit Red Wings defenseman Niklas Kronwall should be ready to return for Wednesday's game against the Ottawa Senators at Joe Louis Arena, barring any setbacks, general manager Ken Holland said.
Good news for Kronwall owners who can plan to have the Wings' top defenseman back into their lineups for Wednesday's games. Kronwall will sit his second straight game on Monday.

Because he is suffering from a concussion he will need clearance from doctors before he can resume skating, but this is great news for the Red Wings and Kronwall owners. It was a dangerous and scary play on Thursday, but he won't miss a lengthy period of time. Jakub Kindl will serve as his replacement on the top PP unit.

Kronwall was injured two minutes into the 4-2 victory Thursday at Pepsi Center. "Tough situation for him, anytime you get hit like that, you're out cold," Wings coach Mike Babcock said. "You're scared to say the least."
Kronwall was taken off on a stretcher after being hit from behind in the corner by Avalanche forward Cody McLeod.
McLeod was assessed a five-minute major and a game misconduct for boarding. This would be a huge blow to the Red Wings blueline, expect an update on the Swede tomorrow.

ST. LOUIS -- Detroit Red Wings defenseman Niklas Kronwall left Tuesday's game after being checked from behind head-first into the boards by St. Louis forward Chris Stewart. Kronwall laid motionless on the ice for a few seconds before behind helped off by the trainer. No word yet on his condition.
Kronwall was already less than 100 percent before the injury and figures to miss some playing time, The Stockholm, Sweden native scored four goals and seven points prior to getting hurt.

Kronwall has been on fire since signing his contract extension with five points over as many games. He figures to only improve on those totals on the top PP unit.
