Nabokov allowed three goals 21 shots in relief of Ben Bishop, who was injured in the first period last night’s game. Nabby is expected to start tonight with Andrei Vasilevskiy expected to be his backup. Nabokov has a 2.99 GAA and .893 SV% in eight games this season. He will take on a Flyers team who are finally getting it together;having won three of their last four.

Nabokov stopped 21 of 22 shots in the Lightning’s 2-1 shootout loss to the Sabres on December 2nd. It was a tough loss for owners who spot-started Nabby, but you get another juicy matchup tonight with the Hurricanes in-town. However, look at your other options first because Nabokov’s 3.14 GAA and ..814 SV% leaves little to be desired right now.

Svedberg allowed three goals on 28 shots in the Bruins win over the Blue Jackets on November 21st. Tuukka Rask started the last four games, but Svedberg gets the nod tonight in Los Angeles. He has three wins with a 2.46 GAA and .913 SV% in eight games this season.

Nabokov starts in goal vs. the Sabres.

Nabokov surrendered five goals on 36 shots in the Lightning’s loss to the Islanders on November 18th. Workhorse Ben Bishop has started the last five games, but Nabby gets back in goal tonight vs. the Sabres. It is a tremendous matchup, making Nabokov a great spot-start.

Svedberg allowed five goals on 34 shots in the Bruins loss to the Habs on November 13th. Svedberg is 2-3-0 with a 2.41 GAA and .917 SV% in five starts and seven appearances and could make for a strong spot-start against a the 6-11-1 Blue Jackets.

The Bruins had an optional skate this morning so it is hard to tell who the starter is, but with the rival Canadiens in town on Saturday, it looks like it will be Svedberg tonight and Tuukka Rask tomorrow. Svedberg is 2-3-0 with a 2.41 GAA and .917 SV% in five starts and seven appearances and could make for a strong spot-start against a the 6-11-1 Blue Jackets.

Nabokov will get the start against his former team after Ben Bishop got the win over the Rangers on Monday. It will be Nabby’s first start since November 8th, when he allowed four goals on 32 shots in a win over the Blue Jacket.s

Nabokov was pulled after allowing four goals on eight shots in a 7-2 loss to the Wild on October 25th. Yeah, a .500 SV% is enough to get you pulled that is for sure. He will look to rebound tonight against a banged up Blue Jackets team who are starting a rookie goaltender.

Svedberg allowed three goals on 38 shots in a loss to the Islanders last Thursday. He watched Tuukka Rask start the next two, but will be back between the pipes tonight against a Sabres team that he had a 32-save shutout against on October 18. This is as good of a spot-start as you will find tonight.

Nabokov stopped 21 of 22 shots in a win over the Flames on Tuesday. He has stopped 44 of 47 shots (.936 SV%) in his two starts this season. With two back-to-backs in the same week, this will likely be the only time he will start two games in a week. He draws a tough matchup vs. the Wild.

Svedberg stopped all 32 shots that he faced in a 4-0 win over the Sabres on Saturday. He has had a great start to the year, stopping 62 of 64 shots (.969 SV%). He will go tonight, so that leaves Tuukka Rask for Saturday vs. the Maple Leafs. It is not the best spot-start situation, seeing as how the Islanders are second in the NHL with a 3.50 goals per game.

Svedberg stopped all 32 shots that he faced in a 4-0 win over the Sabres on Saturday. He has had a great start to the year, stopping 62 of 64 shots (.969 SV%). It looks like he will go tonight and Tuukka Rask will go on Saturday vs. the Maple Leafs. It is not the best spot-start situation, seeing as how the Islanders are second in the NHL with a 3.50 goals per game.

Nabokov allowed two goals on 25 shots in a loss to the Devils in his Lightning debut last Tuesday. With Tampa Bay playing in the second game of a back-to-back tonight, they will give Nabokov the nod vs. the Flames. Calgary is 4-3-0 while scoring 2.57 G/PG.

This will be Svedberg's first start of the season and the second NHL game of his career. The 25-year-old netminder was 25-15-4 with a 2.63 GAA and .910 SV% with the Providence Bruins (AHL) last season. He will start against an Avalanche team still searching for their first goal of the season.

Nabokov was 15-14-8 with a 2.74 GAA and .905 SV% with the Islanders last season. Towards the end of the season he was splitting time with Anders Nilsson, but he is more likely to be in a back-up role in Tampa Bay.
