Nils Hoglander will draw back into the Canucks' lineup Tuesday vs. Nashville.

Hoglander will return to the lineup for his fifth game of the season as Jack Studnicka will be a healthy scratch for the Canucks. In four games, Hoglander has three points (1G / 2A) and two shots while averaging 10:20 time-on-ice per night. He will likely play on the fourth line with Anthony Beauvillier and Sam Lafferty.

Nils Hoglander
The Canucks signed Nils Hoglander to two-year contract worth $2.2 million ($1.1M AAV).

Hoglander was the No.40 overall pick in 2019 and joined the Canucks in 2021. Since then, he's posted 54 points (26G / 28A) in 141 career NHL games. However, he spent most of last season in the AHL after struggling with the Canucks early in the year. The 22-year-old had 32 points (14G / 18A) in 45 AHL games and will look to crack the NHL lineup out of training camp this fall.

Nils Hoglander has been reassigned to Abbotsford (AHL).

Hoglander had three goals, six assists, 29 SOG and a -4 plus/minus in 25 games with the Canucks but will head to Abbotsford (AHL) in hopes of being called up again later in the season. The demotion is a bit of a surprise after Hoglander played 116 NHL games across the last two seasons.

The Canucks signed Nils Hoglander to a three-year, entry-level contract.

The Canucks drafted Hoglander with the No.40 overall pick in the 2019 draft. The highly-skilled winger had a strong year in the Swedish Elite League, scoring nine goals with seven assists (16 points) in 41 games as a 19-year-old. Hoglander also represented Sweden at the World Juniors, where helped them to a bronze medal and finished third on the team with 11 points (5G / 6A) in seven games.
