Niederreiter (ankle) isn’t expected to play Tuesday; probably return on Thursday.

Niederreiter is expected to miss his fifth straight game with an ankle injury but he will likely play on Thursday as long as he makes it through Wednesday’s practice unscathed. This will be a huge boon for the Wild, who are getting Zach Parise (back) in the lineup for the first time this season on Tuesday.

Niederreiter (ankle) will not play Saturday in Tampa Bay.

Niederreiter left last night’s game in Florida with an ankle injury and will not be in the lineup tonight. Niederreiter was spotted wearing a walking boot after the game, so he could be sidelined for some time. Expect ab update on his status after Christmas.

Niederreiter (ankle) will return to the Wild lineup on Tuesday.

The Wild initially listed Niederreiter as a game-time decision for Tuesday, but head coach Bruce Boudreau told a local radio station that Niederreiter will make his return tonight vs. the Jets. Niederreiter has missed the last six games but is expected to draw in on a line with Eric Staal tonight. He is still searching for his first point of the season, but Niederreiter likely won’t have to wait too long for it to happen.

Niederreiter (ankle) will be a game-time decision on Tuesday.

Niederreiter has missed the last six games with a high-ankle sprain, but he is targeting a return to the lineup on Tuesday. Niederreiter has no points in three games this season, but he should be added from the waiver wire if he was dropped during his injury.

Niederreiter will missed at least three weeks with a high left ankle sprain.

Despite taking Zach Parise’s spot in the top-6 to start the season, Niederreiter had no points in the first three games of the season before getting hurt on Thursday. This is a massive loss for the Wild, who also lost Charlie Coyle (right fibula fracture) on Thursday night.

Niederreiter will not play Saturday vs. the Blue Jackets.

Niederreiter left Thursday’s game after playing 13:12 TOI after sustaining what is believed to be an ankle injury. Niederreiter got tangled up with Blackhawks’ forward Tanner Kero and will miss at least Saturday’s game vs. Columbus. The Wild also lost Marcus Foligno and Charlie Coyle last night, so they’re banged up heading into Saturday.

Niederreiter has been moved back to the top-line with Zach Parise and Mikko Koivu.

Niederreiter has moved around this lineup throughout the early part of the season, but found himself re-united with Parise and Koivu in practice this morning. He has one goal and three assists in nine games with his new team.

Niederreiter, the fifth overall pick in the 2010 draft, got a look on the right side with checking-line forwards Matt Cooke and Kyle Brodziak. If Jason Zucker and Charlie Coyle wind up as Dany Heatley’s linemates, Niederreiter had to show the Wild brass that he can play a third-line role if he has any shot to make the team.

Niederreiter, known more for his scoring, had five hits, often came away from board battles with the puck and is getting stronger without the puck every game, coach Mike Yeo said.
