The Jets have placed Ondrej Pavelec on waivers.

It was only a matter of time before Pavelec was placed on waivers. The veteran netminder is in the final year of a deal that carries a $3.9 million cap hit and he was badly outplayed by the future of the Jets’ crease, Connor Hellebuyck.
