Oskar Sundqvist will be a healthy scratch for the Blues on Wednesday, allowing Stenberg to re-enter the lineup against the Calgary Flames. The 20-year-old Stenberg is averaging 13:51 time-on-ice, scoring eight points (1G / 7A) through 21 games in his first NHL season.


Stenberg was effective in his NHL debut with St. Louis earlier this season, tallying eight points (1G / 7A) in 18 games. That said, the 20-year-old Swedish forward has spent most of the 2025-26 campaign in the AHL, where he has 15 points (4G / 11A) in 33 games with Springfield.

Stenberg got his first taste of NHL action this season and has been a regular over the past few weeks, but he has been assigned to the Springfield Thunderbirds (AHL). The 20-year-old Swedish forward has eight points (1G / 7A) in 18 games with the Blues.

Stenberg was drafted 25th overall by the Blues in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft and will make his NHL debut on Wednesday against the Winnipet Jets. The 20-year-old forward has eight points (3G / 5A) in 21 games with the Springfield Thunderbirds (AHL) this season.


Stenberg was St. Louis' 2023 first-round pick (25th overall) and signed a three-year, entry-level contract on Wednesday. The 18-year-old left-winger just finished his second full season with Frolunda HC (SHL) and had three goals and six points in 31 games played during the 2023-24 season.
