Nemeth (shoulder) will return to the Avalanche lineup on Thursday.

Nemeth missed Tuesday’s game in Nashville because of a shoulder injury that he suffered in a fight with his former teammate Tyler Seguin on Saturday. Nemeth has recorded three assists and a plus-7 rating in his first six games with Colorado. Nemeth is expected to replace Anton Lindholm in the lineup and skate with Tyson Barrie.

The Stars have re-signed Patrik Nemeth to a one-year deal worth $945K.

Nemeth, 25, has split his first few professional seasons between the NHL and AHL. In 2016-17 he appeared in the most NHL games to this point, suiting up for 40 contests, but only managed to record three assists. Nemeth has not posed strong offensive numbers at any level, so don’t expect him to start now.

The Stars re-signed Patrik Nemeth to a two-year deal worth $900,000.

Nemeth, 23, missed a significant amount of time in 2014-15 after suffering a gruesome laceration to his arm in October. He was expected to miss the remainder of the season, but returned to Dallas in early March and finished the season with three assists in 22 games. The 2010 second-round pick is expected to compete for a full-time spot on the Stars blue line in 2015-16.
