The Flyers have signed Pierre-Edouard Bellemare to a multi-year extension.
Bellemare is a fourth-liner who kills penalties for the Flyers, who has scored just three goals with three assists in 62 games this season.
Bellemare (lower-body) will return to the Flyers lineup on Saturday.
Bellemare has missed the last eight games with a lower-body injury, but he will return to the lineup tonight in Carolina. Bellemare leads the Flyers’ forwards in penalty killing, so this is a big player for the Flyers to get back, but he is not fantasy relevant.
Bellemare will miss at least two weeks with a lower-body injury.
Bellemare suffered a lower-body injury on Tuesday and will miss at least the next two weeks or at least the next six or seven games. Bellemare is a very important penalty killer for the Flyers, so this is a big loss at least for the next few weeks. With Bellemare out, Vincent Lecavalier will make his season debut.
Bellemare (undisclosed) did not practice on Wednesday; doubtful for Thursday’s game.
Bellemare left Tuesday’s game with an undisclosed injury and did not return. His absence at Wednesday’s practice suggests that he will not be ready to go on Thursday vs. the Devils. If Bellemare can’t play, the Vincent Lecavalier will make his season debut.
The Flyers have signed Pierre Edouard Bellemare to a two-year contract extension.
Bellemare, who was set to become an unrestricted free agent this summer, will now make $712,500 per season through the 2016-17 season. The 29-year-old has eight points (4G / 4A) in 62 games with the Flyers.
