The Blues have placed Robby Fabbri (upper-body) on IR.

Fabbri was hurt early in the Blues game in Arizona on Saturday, leaving the game after playing just 2:55 TOI. Fabbri is expected to be sidelined until at least Christmas, when he will be re-evaluated. With Fabbri out, Jordan Kyrou has been recalled from San Antonio (AHL).

The Blues have activated Robby Fabbri (groin) from IR.

Fabbri missed the first 10 games of the season, but is expected to make his season debut on Thursday. Fabbri skated on the fourth line in Wednesday’s practice, suggesting that the Blues will ease him back into the lineup in what will be his first game since February 4th, 2017. The 2014 No.21 overall pick has provided 29 goals and 37 assists (66 points) while averaging just 14:16 TOI/GM in the first 123 games of his NHL career.

The Blues have recalled Robby Fabbri from his conditioning stint with San Antonio (AHL).

The Blues have sent Robby Fabbri (groin) to San Antonio (AHL) for a conditioning stint.

Fabbri has missed the first eight games of the regular season with a groin injury he suffered in the preseason. Fabbri has not played and NHL game since February 4th, 2017 because of two knee surgeries. He’ll stay with San Antonio through the weekend, but could return to the Blues and make his season debut sometime next week.

Fabbri is day-to-day with a Grade 1 groin strain.

The good news is that Fabbri’s lower-body injury is not related to his knee that cost him all of last season. Blues head coach Mike Yeo said that there is “no plan” for Fabbri right now, but he will take a couple of days off and see where he is at after that. There is still a chance that Fabbri is ready for the start of the regular season on October 4th.

The Blues have re-signed Robby Fabbri to a one-year, $925K contract.

Fabbri re-injured his knee in training camp last year and missed the entire 2017-18 season. The 22-year-old has averaged 19 goals and 25 assists (43 points) per 82 games over the first two seasons of his NHL career. Fabbri is expected to be ready for the start of the 2019 season and will be a middle-6 winger for a team that has improved a lot this offseason.

Fabbri will undergo his second knee surgery this year; will miss the 2017-18 season.

Fabbri underwent knee surgery after suffering an ACL injury last February and will have to have another surgery after re-injuring the knee in training camp. Fabbri was reportedly told that he had a 3% chance of re-injury and unfortunately the young forward fell into that percentage. With Fabbri out for the season, the Blues have discussed signing Jaromir Jagr.

Fabbri (knee) will miss the rest of the preseason; will be re-evaluated in 10 days.

Fabbri is coming off of a knee ligament injury in February and re-injured the surgically repaired knee in training camp. Fabbri was a late scratch prior to the Blues’ first preseason game and will miss the rest of the preseason. Fabbri was expected to get a look at centre, but with him joining Alex Steen and Patrik Berglund on the sideline, that leaves the Blues with Paul Stastny, Brayden Schenn, Wade Megan and Kyle Brodziak as their centre options.

Fabbri (ankle) will return to the lineup on Saturday.

Fabbri has missed the last four games with an ankle injury, but will return to the lineup in the season finale on Saturday. Fabbri has enjoyed a lot of success this season, registering 18 goals and 19 assists (37 points) in 71 games.

Fabbri (concussion) will play on Tuesday.

Fabbri missed the last six games with a concussion, but will be back on Tuesday vs. the Lightning. He had one goal in his first two games this season and with Jaden Schwartz out for 12 weeks, Fabbri has a chance to carve out a big role if he plays well. He will start back on the third line with Scott Gomez and Troy Brouwer.

Fabbri (concussion) will not play on Saturday; expected to return next week.

Despite practicing on Friday, Fabbri is not ready to go on Saturday. With Fabbri out and Jaden Schwartz suffering an injury in practice the Blues will recall Ty Rattie from the AHL and he will play on Saturday. Monitor Fabbri’s status heading into next week.

Robby Fabbri
Fabbri is out indefinitely with a concussion.

Fabbri was injured in the first period of Saturday’s 3-2 loss to the Wild. Blues coach Ken Hitchcock was not impressed with the hit calling it a “shot to the head.” The Blues are considering him day-to-day, but don’t plan on updating his status until he is cleared to return to practice. With Fabbri out, either Scottie Upshall or Scott Gomez are expected to play on Tuesday.
