Strome is day-to-day with an upper-body injury and will not play against the Maple Leafs on Tuesday.

Strome is one of a handful of lineup changes for the Ducks on Tuesday as they deal with a mix of injuries and illnesses. He has three goals and 17 assists in 35 games with the Ducks this season.

Ryan Strome
The Ducks have signed Ryan Strome to a five-year, $25 million contract.

Strome found a home on the Rangers' second line playing with Artemi Panarin for the last three seasons, tallying 53 goals and 109 assists (162 points) in 200 games--22 goals and 45 assists (67 points) per 82-game pace. In Anaheim he should play a similar role as the No.2 centre behind Trevor Zegras but likely will not have the star power of Panarin on his wing.

Ryan Strome
Strome (lower-body) will be a game-time decision on Tuesday.

Strome has missed the last four games with a lower-body injury but was on the ice for Tuesday's morning skate and will be a game-time decision in New Jersey. All signs are pointing towards him returning, as he skated in his usual spot on the second line and top power-play unit.

Ryan Strome
The Rangers have acquired Ryan Strome from the Oilers for Ryan Spooner.

Strome signed a two-year contract that carries a $3.1M AAV cap-hit. Strome has significantly better possession numbers than Spooner, posting a 53.5 CorsiFor% and +3.2 CF% rel with the Oilers this season. However, Strome has had a really difficult time producing offence, picking up just two points (1G / 1A) in 18 games this season.

Ryan Strome
The Oilers have acquired Ryan Strome from the Islanders for Jordan Eberle.

Strome, 23, was the No.5 overall pick in 2011 and has had a couple of tough seasons since posting 50 points (17G / 33A) in 2014-15. Overall, Strome has 126 points (45G / 81A) in 258 career NHL games. Strome is set to become a restricted free agent next summer and carries a $2.5 million cap hit this year, versus Eberle’s $6.0M AAV for the next two seasons.

Ryan Strome
Strome will be back in the Islanders lineup on Wednesday.

Strome was a healthy scratch in the last two games, but will be in the lineup for Alan Quine on Wednesday. Strome has collected six points (2G / 4A) in 19 games this season. He will play centre, likely on the third line with Jason Chimera and Anders Lee.
