Scott Harrington News

Harrington will draw into the Blue Jackets lineup on Tuesday.

Harrington has been a healthy scratch for the last seven games but will be back in the lineup because Zach Werenski is out for at least four weeks with a shoulder injury. The Blue Jackets brought up one of their best D prospects on Monday, so Harrington's grip on the No.6 defenseman role isn't strong.

The Blue Jackets have sent Scott Harrington to Cleveland (AHL) for a conditioning stint.

Harrington, 23, was acquired in a trade from the Maple Leafs this summer and was scratched in their season opener on Thursday. There’s no word what, if anything is ailing Harrington, but he heads to the AHL, where he had three points (1G / 2A) in 17 games last season.

The Blue Jackets signed Scott Harrington to a one-year, two-way deal.

Harrington, 23, was a second round pick of the Penguins in 2011, but was traded to the Maple Leafs as a part of the Phil Kessel trade and was moved to Columbus this offseason for Kerby Rychel. Last year, Harrington split his time between the AHL and NHL—he had one assist in 15 games with the Maple Leafs and three points (1G / 2A) in 17 games with the Marlies.
