Jarvis (shoulder) is travelling with Carolina on their upcoming road trip.

Taylor Hall (upper body) will be out week to week, but the Hurricanes could get immediate reinforcement with the pending return of Seth Jarvis. The 24-year-old Jarvis underwent surgery in late June to address a shoulder injury and was given a four-to-six-month recovery timeline. Head Coach Rod Brind'Amour said he hopes Jarvis can return for the team's upcoming five-game road trip, but insisted he has not yet been medically cleared. Jarvis scored 66 points (32G / 34A) in 71 games last season.

Jarvis was placed on the Injured Non-Roster list on Sunday.

Jarvis skated throughout training camp in a non-contact jersey and will open the season on the Injured Non-Roster list. The Hurricanes have yet to provide an update on his status, so the original timeline of 4-to-6 months from the end of June, would put him in line to return in late-October at the earliest.

Jarvis (upper body) participated in some training camp drills on Thursday in a non-contact jersey.

Jarvis underwent surgery in late June to address a shoulder injury and was given a four-to-six month recovery timeline. The 24-year-old Jarvis is still expected to miss the start of the 2026-27 season, but his presence at training camp is an encouraging sign for the team. Last season, Jarvis scored 66 points (32G / 34A) in 71 games.

Jarvis underwent shoulder surgery and is expected to be out for 4-to-6 months.

Jarvis underwent shoulder surgery after the Hurricanes' Stanley Cup win and will need at least four months of recovery. That puts him out until at least late-October to late-December. GM Eric Tulsky said "there's a very real chance that we end up with sort of an open spot in our lineup for a month or two for a young player to step in and get an opportunity to show what he can do." So expect Jarvis to be sidelined when the Hurricanes open their season in the fall.

Jarvis (rest) is not expected to play on Monday.

The Hurricanes will continue to rest players on Monday, and Jarvis will be one of six players who will sit vs. the Flyers. Taylor Hall will draw back into the lineup to replace Jarvis. The 23-year-old Jarvis has finished the previous two seasons with 67 points and at least 32 goals, a trend that has continued in his most effective offensive season to date, scoring 66 points (32G / 34A) in only 71 games.

Jarvis will not play in Chicago on Thursday.

With their playoff position firmly secured, the Hurricanes will give Jarvis, Andrei Svechnikov, and Sebastian Aho the night off on Thursday. Bradly Nadeau, Skyler Brind'Amour, and Charles-Alexis Legault will all slot in after being recalled on Wednesday.
